  • Losing our virginity‚Ķit happens to almost all of us, no matter who we are or where we come from. How did it happen for you? Ever wondered what other people think and feel about this never-to-be-repeated experience? I am on a mission to find out. Follow my journey as I collect stories from as wide a selection of people as possible. From men and women, old and young, gay, straight, Christian, Muslim and Catholic, from the funny and the sad, to the happy and occasionally, the unbelievable. Bill the Butcher

This is more like a "virginity-loss-while happening-to-be-Muslim" rather than a Muslim virginity loss story, and unfortunately hardly a story at that.

I should point out, Kate, that any Muslims you get reading this blog who will respond to you are liable to be of the sort of person who won't wait for marriage to lose their virginity. The "wait-till-marriage" movement is pretty much extinct among self-aware people anywhere these days.

The Virginity Project

Thanks Bill. Having written this blog for almost 4 years and researched the book for 5, this point has become apparent to me along the way!
